L: Pours a dark, reddish brown with ruby red at the edges. The head was foamy beige but disappeared almost instantly. No retention or lacing.
S: Smokiness, bacon, cherry candy, red wine, light funk, mildew, and earth.
T: Lots of smoke, wood smoke, fried pork, sour cherry pits, cranberry juice, lingering cranberry sourness.
M: Medium-light, but well-carbonated.
O: An very tasty beer!

Hazy burnt copper red with peach-hued edges and a giant beige to pink head quickly dying, leaving almost no head, just a minor film.
Aromas of nutty yogurt, smoked sour cherry, hickory and apple are featured.
Tastes like cherry pie filling, with some apples and cranberries. It's less sour than you might expect, mostly lactic, and really drinkable, with a touch of oddness due to the smokey wood-like notes.
Light and bouncy carbonation on the palate but a medium to heavy lactic body with a semi-dry finish.

thanks to my brother for the share -enjoyed chilled in a wilbecker
the color is dark burgundy with translucent clarity and quick collapsing white head. The smell is smoky with tart cherry aroma with woody and lightly phenolic odor with slight plastic accent. The feel is tart fruit with high smoke in the feel with medium high carbonation with tanginess lingering after a very dry finish.
The taste is not bad with tangy fruity cherry tart quality that quickly shifts to a semi-plastic phenolic smokiness with a slight yeast sourness with lemony lactic taste in the back but not quite as acidic as bile. There is some yeast and doughy aspect with pie-like cherry making another pass in the taste with smoke that lingers on after the swallow. Overall I would say it is worth a try but the mix of flavors is a little contrasting. I like the tart cherry flavor and lactic quality with smoke a little heavy but still pleasant.

Smoked sweet scent with a super dark amber color. Very sour cherry flavor with strong notes of smokiness. Definitely different.
