Pours a very slightly hazy golden color with three inches of soap bubble head in the glass. Hed diminished to about 1/8 inch of foam that hung around through the consumption.
The aroma was light. Vaguely fruity (green apple or white grape maybe) with a pleasant cracker malt in the background. Seems a bit weak and ambiguous.
The taste opens tart - not a face-peeling tart, but that is certainly the first sensation that hits. And it is not so tart that the pilsner base is overwhelmed - there's enough malt flavor and enough bitterness such that the pilsner isn't among the missing elements. EVentually there's a light fruit note which may be misplaced in the style but is pleasant nonetheless.
The feel is light, just short of bracingly refreshing. Ample carbonation for the style.
Overall I enjoyed this beer, but it was a bit pricey at $8. This could be a good summer brew if they were to make it again and adjust the price to a better level.
