The beer poured a very slightly hazy pink/purply color. A fizzy pink-tinted head fell very quickly leaving pretty much no trace.
The smell seemed a bit "jammy" - like cooked and sweetened berries. Can detect the wheat, promising maybe some tang to counteract what my nose says is going to be a sweet sip.
The taste is surprisingly not sweet - nicely acidic but not a tooth cleaner. Acidity in line with what you would expect from blackberries. And there is no "jam" taste. While I wouldn't call it a fresh blackberry flavor, it isn't cooked/sweetened or blackberry syrup sweet either. Pretty nice and a good balance between the beer and the fruit components.
Appropriately fizzy for the style, a little sweetness lingers, but not exactly refreshing - I think this fruit flavor is just a bit too intense to call it refreshing. Nit-picking there.
The beer has a good flavor and seems to hit the target for the most part. Nice drinker.

Poured into a stange, the appearance was a cloudy semi-dark purple color with a slight pink color along the edges of my glass. Not much lace after a cap of a fizzy to foamy white foamy head quickly dissipated.
The aroma had a nice blend of sweet to tart blackberries up front with a slight sour-ed wheat note at the end. Some grassiness.
The flavor embraced the sweet and tartness of the blackberries initially and developed a kindness towards the sour-ed wheat for a nice balance. Slight aftertaste of the blackberry sweet and tartness, even a light quality of the wheat in this category.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt on par. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, I believe Smuttynose did exactly what they wanted to do with this beer. It's one I would come back to preferably in warmer weather.

Pours a cloudy pinkish purple color with light pinkish foam.
Aromas of tart blackberry, dry and not sweet.
Taste is moderately tart though not extreme, the blackberry flavor is at the forefront.
Light bodied with zippy carbonation, finishes dry and crisp.
Super quenching and fruit forward, the perfect beer to relax with after foraging wild black raspberries.
Thanks Adam & Jen for the assist!

A: Pours a very lightly hazy medium to dark purplish red in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint amber + ruby red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense fizzy foamy slightly pinkish white head that reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of tart blackberries, lemon citrus, lacto tartness, and a light aromas of slightly sour wheat malts.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of slightly sour wheat malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of lacto tartness and moderate flavors of lemon citrus. Finally there is a moderate flavor of tart blackberries. There is a light to moderate amount of lingering tartness in the finish.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of acidic prickliness with a hint of stickiness and a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: I really enjoyed this one, I liked the tartness with the blackberry additions. Easy to drink and refreshing, perfect for that hot late spring/early summer day when your AC is not working.

Pours a deep, dark rose color with a light pink head. Very pretty. Smells sour. Overall it is quite tart and has a lemon yogurt flavor to it. Unfortunately, the blackberry is missing for the most part. It's okay to drink and has a refreshing, light aspect to it, but without the blackberry, it seems lacking in the flavor department.
