Attractive and nicely designed can to celebrate UN's 150th. Can says it's a "session ale" - the product is very light-bodied with an ABV slightly more than 4% so it's certainly worthy of consideration as a session beer. Flavor seems somewhat restrained as I would have expected a bit more body and bitterness but that's just personal preference. Overall a decent product to add to the Smuttynose portfolio.

From the 12 fl. oz. can dated 05/01/17. Sampled on May 14, 2017.

The color is light-amber with a slight haze and a modest white head that lingers.

I get a clean toasted white bread and sweet malt character along with grassy hops but also something a little off - like an ashy sensation.

Light to medium body.

The "ashy" character I picked up on the nose does not seem to influence the flavor. I get a clean, crisp caramel malt sweetness and grassy and slightly lingering dry finish.

Excellent version of a British bitter. Good malt backbone with mild biscuit notes (I wish the biscuit was more pronounced). Straw color...a light version of the style--I was expecting more of a ruby color. This is a great session beer and highly drinkable. In a world of hop bombs it's great to have a solid drinkable beer.

That being said the style listed in BA is wrong. It's not an APA...the style is a British bitter (not an ESB) so sulfury notes are appropriate in small amounts. In my tastings it was present but not overwhelming.

Draught @ Bella’s: this one poured a hazy, darker golden color. There was about a finger of an off white head that left some lacing. It has a lighter nose. Tropical, citrus and floral hop notes. The taste is also good. Just a bit bitter Tropical, citrus hop flavors, and a decent enough malt body behind it. Nice.

Can shared at the meeting.
Mostly clear deep golden color with a decent off white head. Oh dear God that is some nasty sulfur on the nose. I can't find much else in the aroma. It seems to dissipate a bit as it sits, but as soon as I swirl my glass it assaults me again. The flavor brings some light bready crackery malt an lemony grassy hops but that rhino fart element is still there. Seriously glad I didn't buy a six pack. Hope its an isolated bad can, but it was pretty terrible.
