Had a 16oz glass today at Hayseed in Hampton....
Small tulip was filled with a brew with a deep, hazy, muted apricot-orange color. Had a creamy, fine, light beige head. It was thin yet lasted, with good lace. Had a nice citrus nose, with a touch of apricot and tangerine. Body was about medium, and it was fairly smooth, with minimal prickle.
Taste had some light toasty malt and a hint of caramel. Was quite fruity, with semi-sweet apricot and tangerine hitting the palate. Was a touch pithy and rindy, but more like a good marmalade on toasted bread. A bit of grapefruit and pineapple also found their way into the mix. Slightly bitter in the dryish finish; solid, all in all. Prosit!
