Big thanks to EnfronCFO for the chance to try this one! 375ml bottle served in my Spiegelau tulip. Pours one shade shy of black with a loose, quarter inch, khaki-colored head that quickly dissipates into an oily swirl. Some notes oxidation initially, followed by aromas of milk duds, vinous fruits and spirits. Taste consistent with nose; however, the oxidation is no longer present and the bourbon barrel is more evident; albeit subtle with some mild hints of vanilla. Mouthfeel is light in body with a carbonation just shy of still; however, it's a bit on the watery side. Overall, quite tasty. I'm not sure these would be suitable for extended cellaring but it's quite delicious. A full year in the battle would have brought out some additional complexity in my opinion.
