Slightly hazy deep amber with red at the edges and a thin tightly bubbled white head that quickly dissipates. Rich bready and light caramel maltiness with a whole lot of ginger to counter. Weird at first but kind of grew on me by the end of the pint.

It pours looking like tea, reddish tinted but looks like iced tea to me. Not very carbonated. by the look.
The smell is pleasant with decent lemon and lime with earthy ginger, more or less covering the malts that only poke thru a little.
It tastes like tea...the lime really sticks out initially and the lemon comes to play eventually backed by earthy ginger and some sweet maltiness, but the overall effect is tea.
It has a bit of a citrus oil tingle on the tongue but isn't particularly carbonated. Very astringent and drying with a one note finish rather than a chord, a bit tongue-numbing and a metallic taste I get from lime sometimes.
This isn't melting my butter to any great extent. The Irish red part is pretty much hidden by stronger flavors which seems strange since an Irish red features a strong malt profile, if I am not mistaken. If it is supposed to remind the drinker of tea, then it at least succeeds in that dubious achievement.

Canned 05/23/19, 'YUT!!!'.
The color is a rusty crimson, not fully opaque but dark and nearly opaque. Thin head rises up weakly, fizzling out quickly and leaving no traces of lace behind.
The lemon grass and ginger are very potent on the nose, with the lemon grass giving off very apparent aromas of roses. The citrus is present as well but subtle, with both the ginger and the lime both being overpowered by the prevalence of that lemon grass. It's very pleasant, don't get me wrong, but it's tough to find all the adjuncts.
Again, getting a ton of perfumey rose on the palate. Underlying flavors of malt and lime are easy to pick out, and the more I drink this beer the more I begin to enjoy it. If you don't like lemon grass, stay far, far away. The potent floral, aromatic quality this beer puts off can definitely be overwhelming to some. Aside from the smallest touch of spice on the palate, the ginger really only makes itself known on the nose here.
Nice medium-bodied mouthfeel, indicate of the Irish Red style if you're familiar; medium carbonation that verges on frothy, but goes down smooth and with small traces of residual stickiness.

Draught @ Hayseed: This one pours a fairly clear coppery color. Thin off white head and minimal lacing. Good nose. Caramel malts, ginger and some lime. The taste is also good. Malty, some ginger, hint of lime. Bit of earthiness. A nice twist on an Irish red.
