Canned 5/21/20
I found this in a liquor store just a few weeks after it was canned, but sadly have forgotten about it until now. Hell, I’m sure it’ll still be goid after 3 months
Pours a cloudy pale yellow with 2 fingers of white head that fades to a cap at a decent rate and leaves nice lacing
The aroma here strikes somewhere between west coast and new england style IPAs, with lots of juicy pineapple and melon, but balanced out by piney, lemony hops and a smooth buttery malt
The taste is closer to a classic west coast, starting off with bitter pine and grass, before lightly tart pineapple begins to overtake. The swallow pretty much dials everything up to 11, only getting more bitter, yet juicy and balanced at the same time. A lot of grapefruit rind and orange complement the sweet malt
With a medium body and light prickly carbonation, this drinks bery easy, especially given the somewhat higher abv. It is quite dry in the finish and refreshing
This was damn solid, even better than I expected. I’ve only had a few beers in their Smuttlabs series, but the stuff is always interesting and I’ll keep looking for it

Can from The Packie
Pours a lightly hazy yellow gold with a thin bubbly white head that slowly dissipates. Earthy spicy grassy with plenty of pineapple against a lightly sweet bready maltiness and a touch of diacetyl. Its a litte spicy and bitter in the finish. I honestly was wishing for a bit of cherry flavor for a bit of a sweet and sour thing.
