This is a goodun! 12oz can from a variety pack, can't read the date 'cept for 2025. Noticed they're using Chico yeast. Pretty good balance of dark roast coffee and several malts. Hit the spot on arriving home on a brisk winter day.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is dark brown to near black, head is light tan with fine bubbles, head presents one finger thick but quickly dissipates to solid top with some spotty lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is light coffee, roast, hint of vanilla, limited hops and herbal note.

Taste is light roasted coffee, more subtle dark malt, light vanilla like note, light grassed and earthy hops.

Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low bitterness.

Overall a coffee forward beer but light on porter characteristics.

Pours dark. Thick tan foam. Coffee aroma. Big coffee body. Light sweetness with a smokey bitter finish. Nice and smooth. Straightforward. Very good.

From a can. Pours a brown-black with a short cap of tan foam. Smells of lightly roasted coffee beans. Roasty coffee, espresso, and dark malts. Medium bodied and slightly astringent. I was hoping for more depth, still good though.

16oz can into a pint glass. Freshness dating smudged.

Looks pretty good. Black body with a tan head leaving rings of lacing. Light aromas of coffee and chocolate become more prominent in the taste with an espresso note. Only knock on this beer is it's a little lighter in body than I would prefer.

Almost solid black appearance.
Has light carbonation with about a medium body . Might just have an above average body with a very slight creamy feel.
Aroma is a really nice blast of fresh made low acid coffee. Espresso beans, malt, roasted malt, and just a touch of dark fruit. Aroma may not be overly complex but very, very, nice.
Taste is coffee, espresso beans, roasted malts, and a little dark fruit.
Overall it was a really nice beer. Aroma is more intense and enjoyable than taste but still really enjoyable.

Can from the Packie
Dark brown in color with hints of garnet at the edges. Huge roasted coffee on the nose and in the air as soon as I crack the can. Peppery spicy coffee aroma and flavor with some light chocolate and earthy hops to back it up. Really nice coffee-centric porter.

Poured from a 16 oz undated can into the test glass.
A - Beautiful black walnut color, active carbonation supports a losse knit mocha colred froth. Lacing is exquisite during experience.
S - Coffee, coffee, coffee, some roast malt, bakers chocolate, char, a bit of tobacco as well
T - Coffee, no suprise. There is a subtle darf fruit thread, again with some char and dark chocolate.
M - Silky texture, quite nice, medium in body, semi sweet start quickly dries out. Linger is espresso, again quite nice.
O - A very coffee forward porter, the base is not the Robust Porter recipe, A great texture smooth and avoids being watery. A very good coffee ale
