First tried this at the brewery and was impressed. Pours a rich golden color with ample haze. Doesn't smell terrific but don't be fooled. I thought this was a really well balanced beer, especially given it's a 7% abv IPA. Some may not be a fan of the mild sweetness but I certainly am. It's a unique IPA and I highly recommend it. Have bought it on 3 occasions now.

Oh Smuttlabs series, what do we have now? Milkshake IPAs are hard to excute correctly, but I trust Smuttynose to be able to pull one off. I tend to like their more experimental beers, so let’s dive right into it
Pours a cloudy yellow gold with 2 fingers of white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves nice lacing
It’s not immediately evident that this is milkshake-esque in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of creamy peach, pineapple, orange juice, doughy malt, earthy hops, white pepper, and just a touch of vanilla
This is definitely sweeter in taste, but not at all overkill lile some can be. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting pithy grapefruit, orange juice, creamy vanilla, lemon rind, and bready malt. The swallow brings notes of creamy peach, papaya, sweet vanilla, lightly eartgy hops, and a super long lingering note akin to lemon meringue pie which is actually quite nice
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth and creamy beer. Finishes mostly dry with a mild tartness
This is surprisingly good. It avoids many of the pitfalls of the pseudo-style and I have to give it credit for that

Can from the packie.
Pours a lightly hazy lemon yellow with a thin white head that slowly dissipates. Lemony pity citrus and tropical fruits with a vanilla frosting lactose bite. Not bad.
