Smuttynose Sour beers elegantly combine the art and science of brewing. We use only real fruit to create the complex all-natural aromas and flavors while optimizing our favorite lactobacillus and yeast cultures to produce the clean, complex sour, and slightly fruity character. This attention to detail and ingredients shines through in each of these beers.

12 oz slim can poured into a snifter. Pours a slightly hazy light blue/purple with a moderate head. Aroma and flavor feature tart wheat with a hint of blueberry. Not much, but blueberry flavor (non-artificial) is there. Mouthfeel has moderate carbonation and is slightly thin. Overall it's a decent summer beer but not something I'll seek out again.

Can from Market Basket in a mixed 8 pack.
Mostly clear light purple in color with a huge frothy white head that has hints of pink in it. Lemony nose with tart berry and a hint of earthy funk. Mild puckering lemony blueberry flavor. Pretty decent kettle sour.
