Poured from a 16 oz can, with no date stamp.
Very balanced and drinkable, with virtually no hop burn. Flavor has tons of citrus, including dragonfruit. This is very well balanced, with a malty, velvety feel, which contributes to the excellent overall 'Feel' rating. Wish I could get this in Ohio, but we'll keep trying.

Poured from a 12oz can into pint glass in July 2, 2021. There is a canned date of 5/21/2021 on the can.
Appearance: Light gold color with 2 finger white head. It is clear, with only a light haze, less hazy than New England IPAs. Head lasts a minute, and there is a little lacing.
Smell: Aroma of hops, pine, and citrus, as well as some sweetness like pineapple. Overall the citrus aroma dominates the other aromas.
Taste: There is a medium hops flavor with some citrus, pine, and a little sweetness as well. This is less bitter than Smuttynose's Finestkind IPA, which I like better. Has a nice after taste. Overall a nice balance and very drinkable.
Mouthfeel: Low/Medium bodied. Medium alcohol which matches the 5.7% listed.
This is an interesting IPA. It has a nice mix of citrus, hops, and other flavors, which makes it interesting. It is similar to Smuttynose's Finestkind IPA, but has more of a malty sweet flavor. I prefer the stronger flavors and higher bitterness of the Finestkind IPA over the lighter, malty Match Play IPA. This has some hop bite, but not as much as some other IPAs. It is very drinkable, and I would drink this on hotter days and could drink more of these than the stronger IPAs. Good IPA, and I would buy this again.

From a 12oz can, dated 05/13/21. Served in a willi becher.
Pours a very lightly hazed, pale yellow with a finger or so of foamy head. Retention is unremarkable, leaving a sudsy collar and a barely rousable sheet of slippery lacing. Meh.
Nose is predominantly malty but with some pleasant fruity aromas. Lemon and mango.
Taste is in line with the nose inasmuch as it’s heavily malty. There’s a decent level of lemony, citric bitterness which provides pretty good balance. Tasting bread roll, pineapple and mango but a building character of lemon-scented dish water.
Feel is probably about medium bodied with vigorous carbonation but somehow comes across thin and unsatisfying?
Overall, a so-so decent AIPA, nothing special, and nothing really to complain about, either, but there are better places to spend my money and I probably won’t bother to revisit this one.
