On tap at 3 Brasseurs McGill in Montreal. Hazy amber with a strong head. Rich hoppy floral nose. Firm malt body with a creaminess. Spicy but more English than American. A solid brew.

Les 3 Brasseurs "IPA"
on tap @ the St. Catherine Ouest store, Montréal, QC on 5 Octobre 2014
$6.49 / pinte
Notes: Deep amber-orange in color beneath a fluffy white head. Very good head retention and thin but lasting lacing. Aroma of bready, gently caramelish malt and floral, citrusy, gently piney, and leafy/mildly herbal hops. The flavor follows with perhaps a bit more tea-like character and grassiness to the hops. Mainly English but with a touch of America thrown in. Well-balanced by a solid bitterness, and remarkably easy to drink. It begs to be paired with food such as fish & chips, burgers, flammeküeche, or Indian curry. I had it paired with a mushroom burger and a shared order of poutine "Philly". Basic but very well done.

Draft: Poured a deep amber color ale. Aroma of caramelized malt with light bitter hops notes. Taste is mostly a mix of light caramelized malt with dry hoppy notes and medium bitterness. Body is about average with OK carbonation. Short on hops character but no flaws to report.
