Draft: Poured a clear brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of lightly caramelized malt with some residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of residual sugar with light caramelized malt. Body is a bit thin with OK carbonation. Nothing to write home about.

Les 3 Brasseurs on St Denis here in Montréal
So the look of it: Dark, with medium carbonation and about a finger of white head
The smell of it. Coffee and chocolate mostly
The taste of it: Coffee with a touch of chocolate and some caramel.
So overall would I recommend it ? For sure ! You wanna go to a bar that have nice well made beer. his is the one to go here in Montreal. You should definitely give it a try before the blanche or the blonde. This one have more flavour, more character, more enjoyable. I will drink it again on my first choice.

Les 3 Brasseurs "Brune", 4.8% abv 28 IBUs
on tap at 1658 rue St-Denis, 1 Octobre 2014
$4.25 Canadian / verre
Notes: Interesting... my receipt reads "LES 3 BRASSSEURS", let's hope they're more careful with their beers. Clear, dark brown body with ruby highlights when held to the light. The short head drops readily to a thin, light brown ring of foam. Little lacing is left behind (might be a dirty glass). Aroma is clean, and malty with notes of dark and light chocolate as well as a hint of background roastiness (think black coffee). Malty upfront with a delicate fruitiness. More chocolate combines with golden caramel and a pleasant nuttiness across the middle, and into the finish. Delicately spicy and softly grassy hops help to liven it. Median bitterness. Medium leaning towards medium-light in body. Smooth, moderate carbonation. Overall, a basic but drinkable Munich-style dunkel that's well made.

Out of the maturing tank...
Very dark brown color with a two finger thick head with good retention and leaving some laces.
Aroma with notes of coffee and chocolate and herbal hops, it becomes more present after warming up.
Nice toasty flavor with notes of lungo coffee, chocolate, some papaya, roasted malts, prunes and cola. Dry aftertaste with a light bitterness and its residual taste.
Light body with appropriate carbonation of tiny bubbles.
Let it warm up and becomes a tasty Brune but also targeted to have a good drinkability. Don't expect a Belgian Brune. I found this one and the Itaim Pale Ale their best offerings. And the one I had straight from the tank was definitely better than the other served downstairs at Brazilian temperature (very cold).
