On vacation in Puerto Rico, not expecting any real beer, I stumbled upon this brewpub on the main road of the Isla Verde district, just east of Condado and Old San Juan. It's a quieter neighborhood with great beaches.
We went in on a Sunday evening around 8 or 9pm. There were 3 ppl at the medium sized bar. The dining area was closed up. It looked like a nice place, with nice dark hardwood furniture and a pretty looking bar. The bartender was very nice and hospitable. About 3 TVs, controlled by the locals.
However, of the 3 or 4 beers that they make, they only had the El Diablo Red Ale. Nothing new til Wednesday, the bartender said. Doh! So I tried it ($2 house pint Sundays), and it had some good maltiness but it had a terrible sourness which I attribute to stale beer or bad lines, I dunno. Bleah. I did meet another American there and I gave him the BA website after chatting a while.
They also had Medalla Light and another macro.
Overall: I think anywhere else in America, I'd give them the thumbs down, but they're such an anomaly in Puerto Rico that I want them to survive and spread good beer to the tropics. I think they have a nice setup and on another night the experience would have been much better. I would definitely call them and make sure they have some house brew available before showing up.

This place is great and its the first and only microbrewery in Puerto Rico. They offer 4 beers now Rubia pale ale, Xixa honney wheet ale, El cacique amber ale and El Diablo red ale(stout). I tried the Honney whet ale and the el Diablo stout. The atmosphere was pretty realxing and i know they have live music certain days. The beers were a welcomed change to the macro swill that inhabbits most of the island. You can also buy kegs but they are pretty expensive $180 for a half keg (15.5 gallons). Any BA's traveling down her to PR be sure to visit.
