Slight hop bitterness, light copper color. The Steamer is brewed with lager yeast but fermented at ale temperature. This uniquely American brewing style results in a crisp, heavily hopped, but well balanced brew that has an impressive head. In the early days, a cask of this lively beer released a heavy mist when tapped, hence the term “steam”, a bit of history in a glass.

Post-Brighton snowboarding beer at this nice SLC establishment. The "steamer" poured a crystal clear golden with a thin, bluish white head. Smell: light, fruity malts with a doughy backbone, with light, citrusy hops. Taste is much like the smell. Very smooth and went down pretty easily with my salmon pita. Another average UT beer
