Look: From pint bottle into pint glass. Pours a pale copper color with a half inch of beige-colored head. Thin head dissipated quickly.
Smell: Very lager-forward with malts, corn mash, and not much else. Simple but stays true to the style.
Taste: Roasted malts, wheat, barley, and slight hint of molasses on the end. Very heavy on the malt.
Feel: Medium body, light carbonation. Drinks pretty easy, although I would have liked the carbonation to be a bit heavier.
Overall: Interesting take on a festbier, I enjoyed this one. It’s heavy on the malt flavors but I liked that approach. I recommend picking this up if you’re in the oktoberfest/fall season.
