A mild, spiced holiday ale for the Christmas season. Filtered and light golden in color with very little hop presence. Brewed with cinnamon, coriander, ginger, orange peel and cloves.

500ml bottle purchased 12.22.22 for about $4
No bottling date and cellared since
Poured at fridge temp into a willi glass
Pours a Barleywine deep amber/toffee, I'd say between a 16-20 SRM. Head was surprisingly pillowy and tall sandy color that settled into a 1/4 finger ring. 4
Aroma has mellowed with some age on it, the cinnamon, coriander and cardamom are not as heavy or strong, but are still present and balance better with the orange. I'd still call it festive smelling though. 4
Still a holiday-bomb that is well spiced and warming, but not overwhelming (compared to a relatively fresh bottling) orange has faded perhaps the most, but slight citrus aftertaste complete the spice medley. 4.25
Body is nearly full, more than moderate but not syrupy or a meal in a glass. Carbo is fairly light and slightly prickling. 6 months of age certainly hasn't hurt it. 4.25
Overall I enjoyed this much more with months of age on it as I think it allowed the spices to better mingle and mute which made for a delicious overall ale. 4.25

An overall solid and respectable but unspectacular beer. It's got a good, mild spice flavor to begin with, but the back end is thin and watery. Just not a lot of body to this, but it is highly drinkable and the up front flavor keeps it palatable. Feels less than the sum of its parts, I would be interested to try the higher ABV version of this.
Glad I didn't buy a 4-pack.

ok these guys say that this beer is only 4% but if u do as I did and go to the liquor store it is 8.5 alc by vol. its in a bigger bottle. then its counter part the version that you see in the store that is 4%. just wanted people to know that there is a better version of it with little more boost.

Malty aroma has a strong spicy overtone, cloves and coriander with hints of cinnamon and orange. Pours a clear amber with a nice, if not too persistent, fluffy off-white head. Spice dominates the malty flavor, cloves, coriander, cinnamon, a hint of ginger, a touch of orange. Texture has about average firmness and fizz. Nothing outstanding, but heck, Happy Holidays, and whatever you celebrate, may it be merry and joyful!

Pours a nice clean/clear golden orange color, nice carbonation, nice one-finger creamy white head, with some nice sticky lacing to follow. The nose is malty, with some nutmeg, cinammon. The taste is malty, sweety, with nutmeg/cinammon, and caramel. Medium body. Drinkable, a tasty little brew.
