A "California-style steam beer" from Red Rock, a lager brewed at ale temp. Nice amber in the glass.
Pleasant touch of hops but stops short of a bite. Quite plain flavors. Pilsner sort of taste. Starts out with some spice in the initial taste, a modest malt flavor, some browned biscuits. Leaves some bitterness with the aftertaste. Pleasant nose of grain with a touch of perfume. Dry finish with the hops making more of an appearance.
Pleasant quaff as an alternative to the other usual lights beers.
