A light ale flavoured with cinnamon and cardamon that gives it an almost Chai like aroma with a little bit of a cinnamon tingle on the tongue. Another of our beverages designed for with foods. A delight for the senses.

Produced initially for the New Asian Village local restaurant chain, I came across this on draft at the Pourhouse on Whyte Ave.
This beer pours a clear, pale golden amber colour, with a small cap of fizzy white head, which dissolves away in shortly longer than a glance, leaving nothing in the way of lace. It smells of sweet cinnamon, mild bready malt, and faint spicy cardamom. The taste is sweet gingerbread malt, a much lessened cinnamon essence, and very soft, resinous, drying earthy spice. The carbonation is quite low, but hardly nonexistent, the body medium-light in weight, and somewhat smooth. It finishes off-dry, with a grainy edge and residual spice.
While I didn't have this with Indian cuisine, I can see how it could work - the lower alcohol, sweeter malt, and subtle spicing would complement a fragrant, slow burning curry nicely.
