An american, unfiltered wheat beer that has a refreshing lightness.

16oz can into a pils glass

Pours a pale straw color with a dense head. Settles and doesn't leave much lacing

Strong wheat aroma, but not much else. I have to add that the wheat was very pleasant.

Rich wheat, grainy, grassy and cereal with gentle hops come out once it starts to warm up

Perfect carbo and nice medium filling body

I also thought it was cool to try UTs first GABF gold medal back in '95/96

Had this at the Trolley Square location. Received in a perfect pint look-alike.

2.5 A: Moderately hazed golden wheat color. One finger of frothy white head. Retention is poor for the style and no lacing is left.

2.5 S: Not a lot going on here. Wheat and some neutral maltiness, but no typical hefe aromas.

2.0 T: Like the nose, the taste is nearly flavorless and little evidence of this being a hefe.

3.5 M: At least it feels like a hefe. Ligher medium body. Good hefe carbonation. Could be creamier, but alright.

1.5 D: Not a great beer by any standards.

The Happy Valley Hef to me is not really a hef...The color looks like a cloudy yellow grapefruit juice with vitrually no head. The smell has a hint of spice...but nothing great. The taste is very malty....usually I am expecting banana/clove/spice....this is malty. Its not bad...but misses the mark in my mind as a hef. Its easy on the mouth...but I wouldn't order another one.

A - Pours a cloudy yellow color, some carbonation, nice head, lots of lacing throughout the drink.

S - Scents of grassy malts, yeast, slight banana.

T - The taste is grassy, kinda sweet.

M - Medium body, well rounded brew.

D - Very drinkable. This is a very nice hefe. Would recommend for sure.

This beer poured a hazy yellow color with no real head to speak of. The nose was all wheat malt. No clove and banana. Just another stupid American wheat. Taste has hints of lemon intermixed with the wheat flavor that dominates. The feel was thin and rather boring. This is not a beer I would recommend. Its just plain without anything that kept me interested.

This is one of the heavier-bodied beers at the brewery which is disturbing. The brew is only slightly cloudy and extremely light on flavor. I have had many wheat brews recently and this is one of my least favorite.
