Actually quite an attractive beer to look at. Light amber with a slight haze and a bubbly white head.
Fine aromas of spruce/pine hops and caramel malts.
Taste the same as aroma but with a bit of honey and citrus.
Palate is quite good for the style and alcohol ..well balanced.
Have to go against the grain. This is a fine lower alcohol APA

12 oz bottle brewed and bottled by Four + Brewing in SLC, Utah. 4.7% ABV. 23 Feb. 2016 bottling date.
Good looking amber-copper body with a decent head and patterned, sticky lacing.
Medium body and lively but moderate carbonation.
This is a bold APA despite the "session" label. The ABV may be a little below average, but the strength of the flavor is not. Near moderate bitterness and good complexity, with fruit (including orange) and herbal notes.

Orange-tinted gold color with a minimal white head and little apparent carbonation. Nose mild -- quite mild -- grassy hops dominant. Taste is clean, mild hops bitterness over a lean malt base that appears later in the taste development. Mouthfeel a bit sudsy but clean. Mild hops aftertaste, fairly typical bronzy hops flavor lingering. Never bold, potentially thirst quenching, but in the end not too exciting. Brown bottle, bottled on "01/20/16" per the label. Perhaps would have a bigger flavor if it were more recently bottled. Purchased at Trader Joe's. Label says "Brewed and bottled by: Four + Brewing Company, Salt Lake City, Utah" (only in all caps).

Pours an light amber and orange, not much head and a thin lace. Aroma of citrus, mango, floral hops and honey. Citric, mild grapefruit like taste, with a modest hops kick. Clean taste, flavorful but thin at times. The finish is dry. The mouthfeel is light and crisp. A nice sessionable beer, nothing to write home about, but good enough to have multiple servings.

A = Slightly orange amber, not much head poured into a pint glass.
S = Somewhat sophisticated and nicely balanced between nice malts and complex citrus.
T = The rich malts are also in the taste, although they tend to dissipate after the glass sets for a while. Nicely complex citrus, it reminds me of blood orange but with bitter grapefruit rind notes. Not overly bitter, just enough to give a full balance.
F = Nice lingering flavor although it becomes a bit astringent after the finish.
O = Overall this is a very interesting Pale Ale, from Trader Joe's and hopefully I'll get more.

Dark orangey amber. Surprisingly aromatic with a whiff of mango. A touch of resins and canned peaches. The hops are perfectly delicious and the bitterness is quite moderate. This batch is labeled 4.7% ABV which is still quite modest considering the amount of flavor. There is a wee bite of wood to go with the malty sweetness. The rich malty flavor is such a surprise but it does end with a gentle hoppy bite. I hope this is a model for reinventing the raspy bitter session IPA fad.
This is wild, the nearly identical label as the Steinhaus pale ale. Is Uinta making beers for Trader Joe's now? Maybe this should be listed under the Steinhaus contract brewing catch-all, especially since the label says "Four + Brewing." In any case it's another excellent bottled beer that can't be sold in Utah supermarkets. This is from the 12 oz bottle that showed up-- yes, at TJs. I"ll have to check the six-pack price, this could be another bargain beer for a thirsty day.

Clear gold with and orange tint. Huge dense head craters some as it slowly collapses leaving great lace patterns.
Smell is floral hops and bread malt.
Taste is fruity hop forward with a kiss of pine or hop oil. Malts are a bit shy for the style.
Mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. Finish is bitter and medium dry.
Overall a simple and flavorful beer with a low abv. If you like your APAs to be on the hop side of balanced this is for you. Of course this bottle is only five weeks old so the hop character may be coming through more than normal.
