I'm just a gal cataloging beers as I learn so read this w/ that in mind: AND I think I was drink the REGULAR Cutthroat. Here goes. light aRoma. Not a stinky beer. I don't care for IPAs so I go at APAs a bit skeptical, I liked this one, I could taste cardamom maybe? Not to heady in the hops, you got that pale ale bitter factor up front but didn't linger on the finish. People who prefer this style might find it tame, but interesting. It was good but not my go-to pour.

Pretty decent copper color that looks just like it's year-round counterpart (Cutthroat Pale Ale). It has a good off white 2-finger head that leaves some sticky lace on the glass; a bit cloudy. It has a faint hop smell with some mild clove and anise. I was expecting the taste to have more of a cinnamon/anise/clove to it, but not too much. Those flavors blended well together and were only sensed in the aftertaste. Other than that, it was basically like regular Cutthroat Pale ale: a fine balance of sweet caramel malt and bitter hops in the front end. Pretty smooth and fresh; easy to drink; light to moderate body (but mostly on the light side). Crisp and perfect for the holiday season (or simply for winter). It has a winter beer flavor to it, IMO. I'll stick to regular Cutthroat if offered the choice, but overall this beer is decently made.

This is a pretty good holiday brew. Uintas cutthroat pale ale with star aines, cinnamon and clove added. A little gimmicky but it is a holiday version of the beer so gimmicky is allowed. Very easy drinking with the right amount of spice. I enjoyed this beer. Not something I'd need year round but a November/December brew it's spot on.
