i liked this series better when they were wild ales, but its still a cool run of beers, apricot this year, its simple, light, clean, dry, and the fruit is mellow to me, a little of the dried apricot thing, but also some fresh juicy ripe apricot too, to me mostly fermented out, appealing in its lightness, the low alcohol matches the relatively low degree of sourness, its lactic and tart but not sharp and bracing, and i could definitely drink a few of these. notably it doesnt have vanilla and lactose driving it, just fruit and simple beer, which i like, too many overly done up beers playing in this space right now, this is a less is more thing and it hits for me. pale orange tinted brew from the tap with good carbonation and head, an aroma of dried fruit including golden raisin to me along with the apricot, and the lemony pucker, basic on the malt side, and the flavor follows, plenty of citrus, lemon and orange both to me highlighting the apricot right in the center, tidy on the souring too, no cheese or sweat or weirdness, and its fast finishing, not overly fruited, and fast on the swallow. drinkable as these go, not as dynamic as the series used to be, but still quality, nice for summer.

Appearing as yellow-amber with a light sheen, it builds a dense off-white head that dies off quickly in little spit bubbles.

The apricot expresses light and florally herbal--more like the skin as opposed to the juicy flesh--even at times fading into a subtler pear character, all converging into a slight tang before meeting a mild touch of faint biscuit.

The medium-light body has a soft froth and finishes semi-dry.
