Violet Fire New Style Lager is a dreamy reimagining of what a Lager can be; a showcase in balance between the clean crispness of a true American Lager and the aromatic hop bouquet of a modern IPA.
Generously dosed with new age hops, Violet Fire transcends style with an ultra soft mouthfeel that finishes with juicy notes of tropical melon and coconut.

Slightly hazy bright yellow color with a respectable white head and even some lacing.
The aroma is light malt, tropical fruit with a touch of grass.
The taste is also light malt with notes of coconut, lemon, tangerine and melon. The finish is crisp and dry with some grassy herbal notes, very mild bitterness but nice balance.
The body is light, good carbonation level, very drinkable. Altogether, this is a very pleasant surprise, tasty and refreshing. The flavors are mild but still a big plus over most American lagers, should go well with most food, an excellent summer cooler, very well done. Also, nice label.

First off, excellent graphics and color scheme on the can. Look has moderate haze and effervescence with a pale golden body over a nice head of white foam. Scent is quite hop forward with excellent herbal/grassy notes and a very approachable tropical notes (think wiffs of coconut or melon). Taste has a bit of sour kickback and nice hop profile coming through rounded with just a dab of tropical sweetness. Honestly reminds me a bit of some pale ales(!) in being refreshing but hop forward and quite crisp in the overall feel. No doubt an excellent summer brew and one enjoyable in early fall too.

Pours a hazy gold with one finger foamy head. Fragrace coconut, tropical fruit and malts. Light and crisp with a lot of hops for a lager.

tasty and well refined hoppy lager, a great addition to their lineup and a super drinkable warm weather beer, really digging it. blonde to even sunny yellow color, off from fully clear but insanely bright in the glass still, glowing under an inch of puffy white head from the faucet. the nose on this is real fresh, sabro and el dorado both on full display, juicy coconut, lemongrass, green tea, orange melon, and green grape, some bitterness but not enough to push this into the india pale lager ranger, more of a dry hop complexion without that kick. subtle peach to me, elderflower, and juicy pear. the grain is just pils malt, without european crackery or dusty character, fresher and cleaner and lighter, not bready at all, just dry and earthy, out of the way and keeping this very light bodied when i get to drinking it. the flavor is the best of both hops, juicy orange and melon without it being all thiol boosted and over the top, still beer flavored before fruit, but get vivacity and balance. white coconut flesh and refreshing coconut water from the sabro, a little kiwi thing, juicy without being cloying either, this stays dry and even snappy crisp the whole time despite all the hops. feminine and even delicate without a ton of bitterness, effervescent carbonation makes it dance on the palate, and i found this unique, well flavorful, crushable, and thirst quenching all at once. one of the best beers ive had from these guys in years, will buy it when i see it. very very good, definitely a modern summer beauty!

Canned 10.23.23
Purchased from the brewery cooler for $3.99
Poured at fridge temp into a footed Pils glass
Pours a very clean (that's chill haze) with a 2F light and airy top that fades after a minute or so. Some lacing trailing behind and visible rising carbo. 4
'New world' lager hops are certainly interesting and hard to pin down. Big green herbal garden greens pairs with white peach, white grape and melon rind. It's delicious. 4.25
Taste is largely AAL though only in a (good) cereal grain way, some malt, and green underripe melon. 4
Light to moderate carbo, and kiss of lingering herbal hoppy bitterness. 4
Overall a quite tasty lager I'd buy again. 4
