Pours a deep red with a small head that instantly disappears
aroma of berry, and sweet light toffee notes
light carbonation, more malts again and a light bitterness. Quite sweet, touch of metallic to it too and some raisins
It's ok, wouldn't bother with it again though

330ml bottle served into a tulip glass
Look: Deep, ruby red - small amount of foam when pouring but that went away almost immediately to leave behind something that looked a bit like a glass full of cold tea. No bubbles, sediment or ... anything very much.
Smell: Malts ahoy - plenty of roasted malt, burnt sugar, caramel and toffee with maybe the faintest hint of dark, stewed fruits. No doubt there are hops in there, but if they're aroma hops they're pretty much swamped by the malts (three different types, if you believe the bottle)
Taste: Massively malty - the burnt sugar, caramel and a hint of treacle toffee come through loud and clear, with anything remotely hoppy being lost in the cacophony of malts. Faint hint of hoppiness in the aftertaste but this really is a bit of a malt monster.
Feel: Appearances notwithstanding, this is medium bodied with little in the way of carbonation but manages to be quite refreshing nonetheless.
Overall: Despite looking distinctly flat and unappealing this isn't at all bad - I'm not familiar with the Vienna lager style, this being the first I've knowingly had, but if you're expecting something light, zingy and pilsner-like you're going to be disappointed. Similarly, hop-heads can look away right now because there's nothing here for them whatsoever. Not really my thing, but it's different and if you like your beverages malty it's worthy of your time.

Light raspberry red. Deep frothy head.
Aroma of flowers, caramel and sweet malt. Distant hop.
Tastes saccharine, malt and with some hop.
Refreshing but would only want one.
