A 330ml bottle with a BB of Jan 2018. Acquired a little while back from a webshop. The label describes it as an India Pale lager with an American hop character; hopped with Cascade, Chinook and Centennial.
A: Poured into a tulip. A dark orange-amber colour with good clarity and light carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Some lacing.
S: Aroma of seriously resinous hops with hints of pine, weed, a touch of citrus peel, mild herbs, caramel malt, faint grain and earthy yeast. Balanced and satisfyingly hoppy.
T: Tastes of intense aromatic hops with notes of pine resin, dank weed, citrus peel, herbal hints, vague caramel malt, subtle grain and earthy yeast. A powerful hop-laden bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with zingy carbonation and decent body. Hop oils tickle the palate. Aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, pine resin, caramel malt and earthy yeast.
O: This is a style that sits rather unhappily between regular pale lagers and pale ales, but the beer itself is tasty. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are intensely hoppy and bitter. Decent body - not as light or dry as a pilsner would be though. Goes down readily enough; if you like hoppy pale ales you'll like this.

I was unsure how to style this lager but finally plumped for Euro Lager.
Light orange in colour. Thin head and lacing.
Tangerine and straw aroma.
The fruit continues into the flavour and malt is detected. Sweet and then bitter.
Reasonably refreshing.
