A 500ml bottle with a BB of Sept 2018. Purchased a little while back from Morrisons. Described on the label as a red rye ale hopped with Summit, Amarillo and Chinook.
A: Poured into a pint mug. A rich reddish-brown hue with good clarity and plentiful carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy off-white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Nice lacing.
S: Aroma of caramel malt with hints of grain, mild barley sugar, subtle spicy rye, fruity ale yeast, leafiness and faint stewed hops. Decent enough.
T: Tastes of caramel malt with notes of barley sugar, light spicy rye, subtle toasted grain, fruity ale yeast, leafiness and stewed hops. Slightly sweet, with a moderate bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with fizzy carbonation and good body for the strength. Lightly astringent. Aftertaste of caramel malt, toasted grain, mild rye, ale yeast and stewed hops.
O: Pretty good - the hop presence is overstated but it has a pleasingly malty character. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour blend caramel malt, rye, ale yeast and bittering hops. Nice body. Drinkable and moreish; I find myself wishing I had another one. Worth sampling.

Described at JTW's as a rye red ale. Nearer to an English Bitter.
Auburn in colour. Mild hop and toffee malt aroma.
Nice balance. Lightly flavoured caramel malt. Some toffee.
Didn't offer very much but was a welcome break on my Saturday afternoon shop down the High Street.
