A 330ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2017. Purchased recently from Morrisons.
A: Poured into a tulip. A crystal-clear golden-amber colour with good carbonation. Forms a smallish head of creamy white foam that dissipates rapidly and disappears completely.
S: Aroma of ale yeast esters with hints of grainy wheat, mild earthiness and faint stewed leaves. The yeast character is distinctively Black Sheep. Pretty average.
T: Tastes of ale yeast with notes of light wheat, stewed leaves/husks, subtle earthiness and a touch of soggy cardboard in the background. A subdued leafy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with light carbonation and average body. Aftertaste of ale yeast esters, grainy wheat and cooked leaves/husks.
O: Meh. This just really isn't that great. Decidedly subpar looks, while the aroma and flavour have a hint of wheat but are dominated by ale yeast and mild stewed leaves. Body is OK but doesn't amaze. I think one of the main problems with this beer is that the yeast strain doesn't pair well with a substantial wheat malt base - the resulting flavours don't complement one another. Plenty of better wheat beers out there; no need to seek it out.

Golden straw in colour. Rising bubbles but next to no head.
Fruity aroma. Apple and banana.
Initially sweet and ending with a light astringency. Somewhat grainy and rather stewed.
Oily/buttery in flavour and texture.
Not as nice as I wanted it to be from the bouquet.
