The board advertises that this ale is made with "all Belgian malts," but it's a straight-up American brown. Very dark pour, almost porter territory, with barely a rim of head by the time it arrived. Thick and bitter for a brown ale, but with a robust toasty sweetness to balance it out. Finishes very clean.
