12oz bottle, a gift from jale (thanks Jim!). I'm not a huge fan of porters, nothing offensive about them but they tend to not be my thing, however this particular one is excellent.
It pours dark amber-brown, appearing to be opaque but actually a little clear when held to a light. Nice thick frothy light tan head too.
The aroma is VERY chocolaty, that and roasted malts. And the taste is even more chocolaty, absolutely delicious. Sweet up front with a lasting roasted flavor in the aftertaste, very little bitterness.
Creamy feeling, maybe the oats helped out here, creamy and mouth coating. Excellent, I am really surprised by how much I liked this beer.

A: Pours a clear brown with two fingers of tan head. Lacing last a few minutes.
S: strong roasted malt. Light hops
T: Sweet roasted malt. A little tartness. finishes with a decent hop bitterness.
M: Thin for a porter. Could use a tad more carbonation.
D: would drink another
