Bottled the day we visited the brewery, so it's just about two weeks old at tasting.

Appearance
Burnt orange with a lively carbonation that yields a beautiful, full white head--picture-perfect in the glass

Smell
Light malt sweetness, something a bit toasty and nutty, plus some floral and citrussy hops.

Taste & Mouthfeel
A surprisingly large amount of bitterness greets the tongue on the first sip; from the nose I had expected something more balanced, but this is leaning much more towards the pale ale spectrum; thin body but good carbonation; lots of orange citrus and a light honey sweetness; there's a faint flavor detected here that I got in the other Little Yeoman beers, which must be the water used from the area (the brewer mentioned high levels of dolomite); not especially creamy, so I'm wondering why it's called that, though Chad the brewer did say it was basically a pale ale.

Overall
I believe this is Little Yeoman's house ale, and it's certainly a good choice as it's a tasty, easy-to-drink beer. Body is a little thin, but that's about my only complaint. And really, sometimes it's nice to have a thinner body when it's hot out and you want to enjoy a few. Overall, I'd heartily recommend this beer to anyone who can get their hands on a bottle.

I found this buried deep in my notes. It has been a while since I tried this beer and I have bought this beer from Little Yeoman. The first time I tried it from one of Chad's mason jars. I am not even sure if this place is still open. It has a bonze colored body and sometimes I have had some sediment and other times there has been quite a bit. The head is just slightly off white. The flavor is pretty tame. A little grassy but mainly malt flavored, It goes down smooth and it creamy.

Unlabeled bottle shared at tasting.
Rich orange amber colored pour with an offwhite head. Looks very nice and uncharacteristic for the style. Smell and taste is creamy and malty predominantly and goes down with a very smooth finish. Moderate body and light to medium carbonation help make this beer feel like what I believe it was going for. Very much like an alcoholic milder flavored cream soda.

Latest from Cabool's Little Yeoman brewery. Brewed with clean SA-04 Whitbred Ale yeast from Fermentis ( house yeast) As this brewery returns to full production the cream ale will be one of the year round regulars. Eighty gallon batches are brewed and then diluted to 5% abv for bottling to meet the regulations of license. This cream ale is bottle conditioned and has always been one on my favorites from the Little Yeoman and the only change in the recipe is the slight variations in the ground water between Cabool and the former location near Willowsprings about 20 miles away as the crow flys.

Clear amber with a creamy 2 fingered head and some lace. Moderate mouthfeel and just enough hops to dry the finish a little. Easy drinking!
