Cloudy golden pour, huge yeasty head. Nose is hefe yeast, soft fruit and lightly kilned wheat. Taste is surprisingly dry for nose. Light body, lively carbonation and slightly sweet finish. Great Hefe, very consistent.|9/5/2012

Solid classic Weissbier. It’s unique in the fact that there is no orange peel or coriander added, but it’s tastes as if those ingredients were included. Citrus, banana, coriander, clove, and dough flavors. There are wheat beers from Belgium that taste better, and one called Friska (from Sardinia of all places) that happens to be my favorite. But those all have added peel and coriander. This is in a different category even though it tastes similar. It deserves some respect.

Very tough to rate without partiality being the first beer that started my passion.
Pours wonderful deep copper. Nice head. Nice lacing. Very fragrant with banana and clover present upfront. Tastes a nice sweet, yet soft and rich caramel, which compliments the banana and clove nicely. Nice citrus to add crispness in the end. Medium rich mouth feel with a nice lasting presence. Flavor profiles grow with warmth.
A true staple amongst heffeweizen and weissbier.

A present! An accident, because I don't like wheat beer (since when and why, I can't remember?) except...no, this is good! Next time I go to Germany I have to do the wheat beer and white sausages for breakfast thing. And I can get this one at Corte Ingles in Spain.

Appearance: lightly hazy gold, big head.
Smell: Yeasty, mild clove aroma.
Taste: Mild sweetness to start, then gives wheaty and mild clove flavors before moving to a light lemon finish. Medium bodied.
Overall: Surprised that I had not reviewed this classic import, I've got an old bottle up on my wall but it must have been before I was reviewing. Very solid hefe, easy drinking classic.

Not that big on it. A dark orange color. A little off putting. No really great tasting notes. The only real notes are orange which would be expected given the color.
