I had this on tap at PA flavor -multiple servings

A murky brown with no head, translucent clarity and no lace clings. The smell has a decent amount of caramel with a butterscotch accent and slight toasted nose with slight ester of stone fruit. The feel has some good caramel sweetness with a very high carbonation level for the style with mild buttery, diacetyl and semi-fruity tinge w/ slightly sweet finish.

the scottish ale seems pretty smooth up front -caramel maltiness and has a semi-buttery accent with slightly stone fruit influenced flavor with mild cherry-like acidity and gentle tangy yeasty finish. This beer is very confused, the name scotchtoberfest indicates it might be scottish might be a fest -kind of like a frankenstein blend of the two? It does have more in common with scottish ale and is not the worst I have had, but overall there is not a whole lot about this that makes you want to reach for the second(or third)

Poured a burgundy reddish color, with a thick head. Strong sweet caramel scents. Taste is full. Heavy malt flavors with sweet caramel notes, candied dried fruits, plums and figs. Mouthfeel is somewhat heavy, kind of hindering the drinkable nature of this brew. This is a very good scotch ale.

A-Slightly hazed copper with a light tan head that reduces to a thin cap and leaves a light coating of thin lace.

S-Touch of raisin and Granny Smith apple lying on top of a sweet biscuit malt base.

T-Chewy bread sweetness with a light hint of smoke, caramel, with a twang of fruit sourness and sweet raisins in the mildly dry finish.

M-Medium body with a very easy to drink smoothness and a surprisingly dry crispness in the finish.

D-Solid, interesting and easy to drink. An interesting hybrid of styles that really works well. Smooth with plenty of flavour.

Appears a murky clouded ciderish amber brown hue, very unfiltered like the rest of their brews, cream colored head leaves a light collar with thin lacing down the sides of the glass. Aroma has a light air of fruitiness raisin and tart apple notes with yeast powder and doughy malt sweetness. Flavors combine to form a strong rolling bread sweetness with a touch of peated malts bring mild smoke tones. Fruit scotch flavors arise with white grapes and tart raisins in the finish, I'm a fan of these brews small scale experimental not being held to style guidelines. Mouthfeel has a medium body with powdery dry crispness carbonation flows even and smooth. Drinkability is quality a brew I could definitely buy a growler of and drain without much effort, a nice hybrid blending the festbier with a scotch ale quite nice to see something different in a market flooded with pumpkin ales and oktoberfests, so thank you Brian and Minnie Sprague for growing a pair and doing something a little different.

Tried this at the Steel City Pour last night. Very nice beer and the guys there were excellent and liked to talk about their beer. The Scotchtober Fest was excellent, it had a very nice head, a nice deep aroma, excellent copper coloring, and poured excellent. It had a great scotch ale taste to it, nice and 'burnty-peaty.' Like other domestic scotch (style) ales, it doesn't match up to a true scotch ale from Scotland, but this one is still a treat. I plan to go to the brewery itself as soon as possible to try their other brews and give this one another go.

Had this at the Brewery of course. Nice dark copper brown color. Smell is nice sweet carmelish malt. First taste is exciting. great malt character and sweet carmel notes as well. Nice Flowery hop taste and aroma, almost perfect balance. Nice sweet medium mouthfeel. Overall another quality offering from the small, Small, tiny brewery.
