A big English style IPA. Basically a hybrid having the rather high ABV of an American IPA using English hops and yeast.
A-Deep copper with a light tan head that held on fairly strong and left spotty lace.
S-Quite balanced with an initial spicy hop pop up front with an underlying sweet biscuit malt body.
T-Well balanced with the same spicy zing that comes through in the aroma with a hefty sweet malt backing. Light notes of citrus sneak in on the backside.
M-Medium bodied, fairly sharp with good lingering hop bite.
D-Decent but not my style of IPA. A bit to one dimensional with the spiciness and the malt sweetness is a bit too much for my liking. There is no question that this is an IPA, just not MY kind of IPA.
