MLB is a Belgian dark strong made with local maple syrup. A nice touch with the maple and kudos to using local product!
A-Copper body with a tight off-white head that hung on strong and left spotty lace.
S-Interesting musty and spice combination with a pleasant underlying sweetness. Reminded me of raisin pie.
T-Initial maple sweetness borders on being overwhelming it quickly shifts to a complex yeast, malt and maple dance that ends with a surprising dry finish. This one is far more interesting than I expected it to be.
M-Medium bodied with nice astringency and long lingering spicy sweetness.
D-Certainly the maple sweetness comes through and the spicy yeast helps ramp things up. I liked my glass quite a bit but would find it a bit daunting to enjoy multiple glasses or sharing a growler full.
