WTF??? lol This was the only time I ever gave beer away! No taste, no smell, no anything! The price should have said it all. As a matter of fact, myself and the other fellow who drank it soon lost it. It tasted better coming back up. Pure shit in a can.

Pours a clear orange with a 1 inch foamy orange-white head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small streaks and dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain and sugar. Taste is of grain, sugar, and some corn flake flavors on the finish. There is no hop presence in the smell or taste. This beer has a pretty good level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty poor beer bit definitely not as bad as Beer 30 Light.

So-called ice beer. 9.99 for a 30 pack.

It pours a clear yellow with a fizzy white head.

It smells like grain, corn, and banana runts.

The flavor is like most ice beers. Slightly nutty, fruity, but corny.

It is pretty crappy but worth the price comparatively to other ice beers.

Appearance: Clear deep golden in color, with a small, snow-white head of coarse bubbles, which soon collapses to scattered patches foam on the surface. The carbonation ia profuse, fast-rising and coarse, with slight and scattered lacing.

Aroma; Alcohol dominates the aroma, as expected, with cooked corn as well, and a faint metallic hop presence..

Taste: Opens with tart malt and alcohol, the malt has a slightly sour tang. As the taste progresses, there is a faint sweet note. As the taste draws to a close, there is a slight metallic bitterness, which lingers on past the end of the taste.

Mouth feel: Soft, fairly full, with a bit of stinging carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: An moderate example of the style. At sixty-nine cents a can, it seems quite reasonable.

Presentation: Packaged in a twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a standard Pilsener glass

A- Very light amber in color. White inch tall head. Poor lacing and head retention.

S- Smells kinda of sweet.

T- The sweetness overpowers what little hops are brought forth to the table. Alcoholic bread at 5.5%.

M- Quite creamy, medium to medium-thick mouthfeel for the style.

D/O- This wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be but would not buy again. Well maybe, next time I'm down in the STL...as a joke. Marketing...go figure.

Oh yeah, can from the 99 cent store.

A: The beer pours a very pale golden color with a short lived white head.

S: This beer reeks of corn and beer soaked carpet. More corn just for good measure. It's slightly musty and there is even a little bit of banana in the background.

T: There is a moderate sweetness to this with plenty of corn as well as some apple juice and sugar. Lightly sour and lemony and a touch metallic. A bit watery, too.

M: Light in body with medium carbonation.

O: Nowhere near as horrendous as expected.

Huge ass "I've got a deep, stinging depression welling up deep inside that needs extinguished" 24 oz can. Poured into a Perfect Pint with the $0.99 price sticker still on it.

Appearance
A pretty unspectacular sight. I poured hard, making sure to thoroughly dampen my pants with beer. A head arose but faded before I could even wipe off the excess beer before it soaked into my boxers. The color is quite pale. Clarity is very high. Not many bubbles are seen.

Aroma
Ok, what the hell is it about these beers, particularly Beer 30 and Beer 30 Ice and others like them, that make them smell just grape juice? Some smell like grape soda, others like grape bubble gum. This one smells like Welch's from concentrate. I think I'm going to BM Homebrew42 after this review...

Taste
I can deal with the grape juice sweet aroma, and many times I can cope with the sweet flavors that it hearkens. But this one is just put together all crazy. Really sweet with that artifical, sugar laden grape flavor but then there's that boiled husk nonsense. No hops, only sugar.

Mouthfeel
Hey, guess what. Its slick as hell on the mouthfeel. With all the underattenuated sweetness who would have thunk? Sharp carbonation.

Overall
I kinda bashed it here in this review, but I'd rather drink this than a lot of other beers in its class, not to mention Batch 10,000.

poured from a can into a beer glass.

Appearance-very straw yellow in color. Had decent head and left some lacing in the glass. Very clear and non-murky.

Smell- had kind of a "thin" smell to it, like beer, but diluted beer.

Taste- strangely, i picked up a flavor of green apples mixed with watery beer. Not unpleasant, certainly made for some interesting moments.

Mouthfeel- thin. watery. not thick at all and minimal body.

drinkability- due to the thinness of the brew, i found it to be very drinkable and not very filling. I could definitely have more than one of these.

I got a 30 pack of these at Woodman's for 9.99 before tax. A good buy if you're looking for an easy drinking beer.

Gold color, white head fades down relatively quick, yet leaving a film of foam around the glass. Nothing crazy on the aroma, some malt with some adjunct cheapness. For an "ice" beer it actually is surprisingly nice to the nose.

Awkward flavor, not really bad, but strange. A bit of malt on the tip of the tongue, but no sweetness as a mild lactic sourness is here that kind of blends it all together. Moderately bitter, but again, the oddly sour note blends it together. The finish reveals the hidden off flavors, the solvent cheapness comes to light along with some cookielike malt sweetness. Unique in how the tartness of the beer covers up the defects actually successfully for the most part.

Light body and lively carbonation actually reminds me of a Berliner Weisse to go with the sourness (not saying this tastes like that style, but does remind me of it). For an "ice" beer this is actually a good choice in a bad category. Though if you're looking in "ice" beers flavor probably isn't a priority to begin with.

24 oz. can picked up while perusing the can section. A rare event done for the purpose of proving to a friend that Four Loko is still available here in Cali. Beer 30? Gotta try that for the name alone, and the Ice version was all they had. Don't remember my last Ice beer, been a loooong time.

Poured into a room temperature pint glass so as to not remove any more ice from this finely crafted masterpiece. This Premium Beer pours a clear light straw with half an inch of white foam, which slips away to a light film and light lacing. No notable carbonation after a minute or so.

Smell is very thin, I guess typical for an ice brew. Touch of grain and a bit of metallic vegetal notes. Just not there though not there in a bad way either. Taste follows the metallic cue, offering a dryness interpreted as a light spice and a lightly fruity sense give a thin juice like quality to the flavor. Apple spice continues on the finish and seems to offer a very light artificial sweetness sense to it. Feel is subsequently thin but the bite keeps it from being watery.

Pretty drinkable with no malt body to slow you down and no smells or flavors to dissect and analyze. Very approachable any time of day, any time it's Beer Thirty.

I saw this tall boy in a gas station and I had to get it. It was only a buck fifty, so why not give it a shot for hits and iggles.

It poured an everyday straw yellow with unimpressive head. I was really nervous about taking the first sip. Memories of Steel Reserve and PBR danced in my head. I was quite shocked when i tried it. It wasn't terrible! I'm not saying it was a good beer, but I don't think it was bad for such a cheap beer. I would compare the taste mostly to Miller Lite. It doesn't have that rusty aluminum taste like a lot of cheapo beers do.

With all that said, I'll only get this again as a goof. I mean come on, it's called Beer 30.

Like to keep some cheap macros around, and got for an absurd deal. Let's see if it is worth it...

AS expected, yellow and fizzy with a lot of carbonation. To style, so cannot fault. I can, however, take issue with no head after all this bubbling.

A little bit of dime store candy/gum smell. Cooked corn and some straw on the nose. More fruit esters than expected for the style, though that actually helps. Some unknown mustiness with some trace of a clean lager scent.

A wierd and overripe apple core gives a strange bittersweetness thing going on. There is that unexplained heaviness of a malt liquor without the alcohol to back it up and excuse it (if this were 7.5% I wouldn't think about it). Too cidery.

Pretty devoid of true malt character is what ruins this one for me. Honestly, if there were some sort of breadiness to displace the sharp and heavy fruit I could live with this. It has the hop bitterness without any hop character, which can be OK if done correctly, bit it accentuates the already unbalanced and sharp taste. Note: it does get a bit sweeter and maltier as it warms and breathes at the end, but too late by then.

I know it is cheap and sometimes you get what you ask for. I plan to drink these quickly to get rid of them, though I will try the Light sometime to give it a fair shake. But not this ever again.

Beer 30 Ice is a horrendous beer. It has a thick, white head and a clear, straw appearance. Carbonation is high, and lacing is fairly even and pronounced. The aroma is of burnt rubber, as far as I could determine. The taste is of resin, over-ripe citrus, and it has a chemical undertone of some sort. Mouth-feel is light and watery. Beer 30 Ice finishes harsh and unpleasant. Why anyone would want to save a few cents per 6-pack and buy this, I do not know. I still have five cans left. Wish me luck! Thankfully, this is not sold in Louisiana.

I reassessed this one today, poured into a mug from a 24 oz. can. Gone are the roofing tar and grape soda aroma and taste profiles. Now, it’s wet grain, some hop bittering, and a refreshing, fairly crisp, semi-dry finish. RJT

Appearance- Poured a 3 finger head. Extremely fizzy with a constant stream of bubbles. Poured a surprisingly decent looking straw color.

Smell- I smell can, chemicals, corn and a very tiny hint of malts. This smells reallly, really BAD. There is an odd odor of stale Trix cereal as well.

Taste- What the hell!? It's sweet and tastes like grapes. Alcohol flavor comes through. The taste is basically nasty champagne. Doesn't even taste like beer to me.

Mouthfeel- Light bodied with carbonation sting. Not much to say.

Drinkability- Drinkable, hardly any aftertaste and goes down relatively easy. I could swill a couple of these back.

Beer 30 Ice Brewed by Melanie Brewing Company. This brew has an ABV of 5.50% Beer 30 pours out a nice amber color with a nice white head. The head to this brew goes away fast. The smell is strong with alcohol and grains, and malts. This is a cheap cheap cheap BEER. I got this for free and it was BAD. Taste was just nasty. Lot of strong alcohol notes mixed with nasty malts. I will just stick to the Budweiser Busch and Natural Light. These beers are 10x better in taste and drinkability. Never buy buy this stuff it is AWFUL!!!

I can't resist a good deal, found this beer at the dollar store (2/.99cents)! Bought a couple and couldn't help but review it. Trying to do it justices I pour two cans into a nice large Pilsner glass...

The beer poured out nice with a light straw color and formed a mild head that lingered for a couple seconds. A couple laces on the glass, other wise clear and straight to the point.

The aroma caught me off guard I almost expected an ill smell of skunk but was surprise to find a tiny aroma of malt like adjuncts with a touch of "hop".

Grainy taste with a bit of sweetness, the flavors of adjuncts dance on the tongue hinting that there is a malt in the beer. The hop flavor is hidden and very must missed by the over all sweetness of the beer.

Very clean and crisp beer, nice and smooth with a very light body. The carbonation servers the beer well with it's medium-high level to finish off.

Easy drinker, was not filling at all and not much taste. Personally I love the act of drinking and I could sit down and have a couple of these without really getting sick of it. A nice summer beer or a starter to a beer tasting. As for what it is, there are other beers in cans or yellow-fizzies that are better.

Apparently, I will drink anything in support of the CANQuest. I have had people apologize for sending this to me to review. CAN't I be curious about what is available?

The head began as a little more than a finger of bone-white foam which just evaporated before my eyes. Color was a golden yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a definite, sharp grapiness along with an ammonia/HCl-acid bite. Whoa! I am guessing that this is not generally poured out of its CAN before drinking. Mouthfeel was on the thin side with a grape bubble gum flavor on the tongue. How do they achieve this? Oof. Finish was an unpleasant blend of grape-sweetness and acidity. I am already developing a headache from this. Phew.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a short white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of adjuncts, light malts and a faint touch of hops.

T: The taste starts with an adjunct and light malt sweetness that is followed by a grainy breadiness. The hops presence is very mild even for the style. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: A little crisp and a little smooth, light body, medium-to-high carbonation, finish is clean.

D: Not very flavorful, goes down easily and is not too filling since there's not much to it, mild kick, decent representation of a lackluster style, it's not completely awful, but there are several fizzy-yellow-beers that are better than this one.

We've had 6 cans of this in the fridge since a party last semester and while playing the first game of beer pong tonight, realized I have not reviewed a 12oz can of this AAL/ADD poured into the Dixie cups and then from a Dixie cup to a pilsener.

Looks like the Busch I reviewed last weekend. Maybe even lighter in a cheap sparkling wine way. Not inappropriate, as it tastes quite white grape like. The clean white head seems to last longer than most American Adjunct Lagers with a minimal, very minimal, lace.

Almost a savory frozen corn, slightly vegetal. When colder, the grapes make their appearance.

Taste culminates in the rear of the mouth. Light grape soda, or rather white grape juice mixed with seltzer. The corn and fresh from the fridge a hop bitterness gives a little bit.

Slightly less watery in the mouth than Busch I had next.

The first time I had this, I hated it. Now it is no worse than any other common beer pong beer at the most.

Served and consumed straight from the 12oz can, given away free to all musicians/sponsors at a local music festival. This beer ranks among the most difficult to swallow, unless it is superbly chilled. Although free beer is usually my favorite type of beer, I soon regretted my decision and upgraded to an IPA to mask the finish. Not bad in price and in consumption speed, Beer 30 is a typical American fast food beer style, offering poor quality and a low price using inexpensive ingredients, leaving the drinker with a thin, stale aftertaste and a chill down the spine.

A sure hangover when consumed in quantity.

S: Corn, corn, and more corn. Not even good corn - nasty, canned creamed corn. Some sugary sweetness and boozy alcohol.
