From a 12 oz. can (cold) into a 12 oz. mug (clean).
Look: Very pale with zippo head and minimal bubbly.
Smell: Far away and hardly anything.
Taste: Wet metallic with a faint sweetness.
Feel: Thin. No, thinner yet.
Overall; I'd tried this a few years back and t'weren't much impressed back then, either, but it is rather inexpensive so there ya go.

Taste: mellow caramel malt, crisp but not much hop character. Mild grain nose. Gild, clear, with a foamy head and some lace on taster glass. Lite body. Does not live up to what it says on the can.

12 oz can coded "0336 1258" poured into a perfect pint glass at fridge temp. Color is very pale translucent straw yellow with short lived white head. Aroma is faint malt. Taste is faint malt with a subtle tart finish. Mouthfeel is light bodied, sharply carbonated with little bitterness. The thick aftertaste, mouth coating prevalent in most these beers is barely present. Overall, I either grabbed an above average single by chance, or this is what I've been looking for. Cheap AAL with no major off flavors.

Appearance is about 4 SRM with a quickly dissipating white head.

Smell is malty, little or no hop aroma which is accurate to this beer's style of an American Premium Lager.

Taste is malty and sweet. Just a very little hop flavor goes along with the beer, seems slightly unbalanced to the sweet side.

Feel is heavier than most with a lot of carbonation that makes it feel lighter.

Overall, this is a very good representation of this style of beer, with a lot of nice sweet malty flavor that isn't too overpowering. The low price makes it attractive.

From a 12 fl. oz. can stamped 0832-1935. Sampled on June 26, 2013.

If the most recent rating is a year old - I wonder how this can was when I picked it up? No date listed.

It pours a typical pale yellow with a tremendous white fluffy head that dissolves in quick order.

Aroma of thin malts, adjuncts, and a crisp clean hop bite. It is typical of the style and that makes it Okay.

The body is light.

The taste brings forward a balanced grainy malt, mild sweetness, and crisp hopped and dry finish which is typical for the style. I mean, yeah, it is not a craft beer but that doesn't mean I automatically reject it. It does what it is supposed to do for the style and that's all.

Milwaukee Special Reserve has a very thick, quickly-dissipating white head and a clear, somewhat bubbly, golden appearance. There is some slight lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sickly-sweet, wet grain husks and green apples. Taste is of sweet grain, husks, and green apple flavored Jolly Roger candy. The mouthfeel is light and watery, and Milwaukee Special Reserve finishes mostly dry and unpleasant. Overall, this is a cheap, private label, unappealing beer.

The CANQuest (TM) CANtinues to try new and different CANned beers. CAN you look at my spreadsheet and CANtact me if you have anything that I have not reviewed? CANtabulous!

The finger of bone-white head disappeared like many of my buddies when the check comes. Color was a light lemon-yellow with NE-quality clarity and lots of CO2 bubbles. Fizzy yellow beer, indeed. Nose had a grapey, vinous quality, a trait generally reserved for the lowest form of the style. I would know, having subjected myself to more AALs than I would have ever imagined. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium with a sour grape flavor on the tongue. Oof. I was reminded of the current Skittles Fizzl'd commercial where the husband gets his tongue shocked by static electricity from a tube sock while the wife enjoys candy. The fizzling on my tongue was tube sock! Finish had a light sour grape flavor that lingered. This was NOT my idea of a good time.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pale yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mostly of corn, some malts. Taste is crisp, light, really not much going on, some corn sweetness. Feels light in the mouth and is very drinkable, a good brew for beer drinking games. Overall nothing special about this beer except the low price tag.
