Beer was simply called Maibock during my visit and weighs in at 6.7% ABV.
Appearance: clear yellowish orange in color with a short 1/2" head that falls quickly. No lacing develops.
Smell: malt sweetness is all that can be picked up by the nose.
Taste: malt dominates here as expected, with some additional candy and honey sweetness. Very mild bitterness leaves this a bit sweeter than I like but not bad overall. Alcohol level makes this a bit warming in the mouth.
Mouthfeel: medium-heavy in body. Smooth at the start, syrupy towards the finish. Aftertaste is long on the sweetness and hints of alcohol warming.
Drinkability: decent. Worth giving a shot if it's on tap.
