650ml bottle poured into wine glass 1/8/11
A dark cola with some maroon highlights when held to the light, lovely dark tan head head retains well but leaves no lace
S a little smoked meat with some dark toffee and just a little nutty
T mild chocolate, some molasses very, very faint coffee on top of what I smell
M silky upon entry then creams up from bubbles, aftertaste lingers
O it is what it is, and its not so bad, good flavors for sure and that goes a long way
By far the best beer I've had in Peru, I've only said that ten times this month but I'm pretty sure this will be the last

Drank from a 660ml bottle in Nazca, Peru.
Sampled two bottles of this, the first super cold as is typical in South America, the second at room temperature.
Very dark in colour with little head. What little had there is lasts well.
Smells faintly of roast coffee with strong chocolate scents.
Tastes like a watery stout, a little thin but with nice chocolate and malt notes. When chilled this was very enjoyable but the serving temperature masked an unpleasant taste present at room temperature. A strange bittersweet aftertaste creeps in which makes it hard to drink more than one of these.
Worth trying but strangely for a dark beer I´d recommend chilling it.
