Starts sour and finishes tart. These same elements that might dignify Grey Parrot’s celebrated wild ales are out of place in this would-be blonde, though an infusion of raspberry puree and a redesignation of nomenclature might deliver this from failed table beer to zestful curiosity.

From a technical standpoint the beer is an abject failure. It is orangeade color, yet the exceptionally dense translucence is betrayed by a weak mouthfeel. Aside from this, the fragrance is corrupted by harsh phenols and the “honey” reference is entirely misplaced. It might be generous to call GP’s Honey Blonde an acquired taste I don’t care to acquire. But I’d say the beer lacks discipline and/or definition.
