Pours a dark gold, almost amber color, but with no head whatsoever. Therefore, no lace, no collar. Wasn't flat, either. There was a very strong scent of barley. The mouthfeel was tingly and heavy-sweet, with a good bit of hops. The flavor is dominated by strong barley, but so sweet it is almost like maple syrup. There is a strong hoppy finish and a nice bite in the aftertaste.
