Standard brown half liter bottle with a fairly plane label featuring the Badaevskiy coat of arms. Rice is an ingredient. Bottled on 6/17/03, I opened it on 8/3/03.
Poured a pleasantly tawny golden hue under an essentially non existent head. A few bubbles formed at the top constituting a film above the liquid and a bit of a collar. The smell is pretty bad - sour prunes. The mouth is overcarbonated and heavy with sweet sourness. The initial taste supports this fruity sourness, but not in a pleasant why like some Belgian brews. No, this is pretty bad. The finish is basically rusty overripe fruit, leaving a literal bad taste in the mouth. No thanks.
