Copenhagen 18/2 2017. 50 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus. Very serious looking label with typewriter letters and declarations about being single batch and limited edition. To judge from Ratebeer this seems to be to stretching reality a bit as this seems to be a reissue of a 2011-version.
Pours opaque dark dark brown with small beige head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick creamy layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is quite bitter. Espresso Coffee, salty licorice, leather, sour milk and a light touch of bitter chocolate. Only subdued sweetness.
Soft carbonation and thick oily and sticky texture.
Flavor has more distinct sweetness followed by heavy coffee bitterness. The fairly high and powerful ABV lurking in the background. Aftertaste is salty and bitter with a heavy undercurrent of sticky sweetness.
A heavy hitting, heavy tasting fellow leaving you sticky and satisfied.

Got this from Motherbrother a while back. Cheers!
From a 50cl bottle into a snifter
Best before November 2022
APPEARANCE: Pours transparent black and yields a two finger, medium looking, fluffy, tan head with good retention. Black body and lower levels of carbonation evident. A ring remains and leaves some falling dots of lacing down the glass. Good looking, but a little too transparent for top marks.
SMELL: Roasted grain, burnt and charred malts, dark chocolate and burnt coffee beans. Oats in there as well. Bold and a bit alcoholic.
TASTE: Sweet caramel, oats, roasted notes with some charred malts and leather up front, moving into a big, roasted and bitter finish. Bold and lingering aftertaste of bitter chocolate, burnt and bitter espresso, roasted, charred grains and some sweet cream and oats. Caramel sweetness and brown sugar linger as well. This is actually very flavorful and complex. Nice stuff.
PALATE: Fuller body with medium levels of carbonation. Creamy with enough weight, goes down smooth and finishes sticky on the palate. A bit of a bite and some heat lingers.
OVERALL: This was excellent. Black body with a solid aroma and bold, complex and well balanced flavors. Some mind find it too burnt and charred, but that is what this region does best. Good stuff and well worth checking out if you get the chance. Thanks again motherbrother. Recommended.
