Bottle: Poured a deep pitch-black color stout with a super huge foamy white head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of light dry coffee and black chocolate is more subtle then I had anticipated. Taste is not overly complex and easily enjoyable with some subtle coffee and back chocolate note with a lightly sweet malt bill. Body is average for the style with great carbonation and no alcohol. Very well done overall but lacking some character.

A: Dark brown/black with no sustained head and zero lacing. It did not pour as thick as I expected for a stout.
S: Burnt bitter smell. It almost smells as if the malt was left on the stove too long.
T: The taste is similar to the smell. It tastes like the beer was left in a smoker to age... or it is possibly the same as eating a raw coffee bean.
M: Medium to heavy carbonation. Light to medium body.
D: Not pleasant to taste and it is not pleasant to feel in your mouth... it isn't even really that nice to smell. With it failing in 3 senses, I will not be drinking this beer again.

This beer poured a thick and creamy black with minimal head that did not stick around. The smell is very roasted and has hints of coffee (not necessarily good coffee mind you). The taste is the worst part about this beer. It doesn't even feel right as it moves across your tongue. The drinkability is very low due to the taste and the mouthfeel.

50 CL bottle courtesy of Papsoe. Big roasted coffee beans and chocolate aroma with mild sweet dark fruity notes, blue and black berries are prominent. The body is a deep black and holds a very fluffy, two finger thick mocha head that reminds me of artisan baked bread in itÂ’s lumpy rough appearance. Fore is chocolate and coffee...it feels a little silty in the mouth like poorly filtered well water. Very slightly tangy in the middle and and finish....approaching metallic. Mildly smoky. Fairly narrow flavor range. So-so.
