The beer is clouded amber, has a large off-white head, good lacing but rather small curtains.

Smelling of ripe apricots, honey, pine needles.

Tasting of sweet brown bread, then some tropical fruit juice, but dominating is citric peel and crushed seeds.

Medium high carbonation, slightly sticky and with a coarse dry finish. A big body.

Not bad, very IPA in my mind. And a bit out of season.

Testing this beer well chilled, poured from a bottle into a tulip glass.

A: A pale and little turbid beer is poured into the glass creating a thick foamy head (about 2cm / 1inch). Giving the glass a twirl creates a new thick foamy head immediately. The foamy head shrinks relatively fast, leaving plenty of lacing.

S: A very fresh and fruity smell with lots of hoppy bitteness. There are also tones of malt going on.

T: Just like the smell, there are lots of hops going on here. It's very well balanced starting of very fresh and hoppy that eventually gets more and more bitter. Just like the smell there's also some nice malty tones in here. Thinking of this as an APA with only 5% ABV, there is a lot of taste here! The taste is overpowering the smell big time.

M: As you could tell from the appearance there is lot of carbonation in here, small bubbles all over the place sizzling in your mouth. Combined with the loads of hops the bitterness hang around for a long while creating a dry feeling at the end.

O: A very strong APA, and with that i refer to the taste, and not to the alcohol - which is very nice! There's lots of well balanced hops in here creating that nice taste&mouthfeel combination. The smell feels a little weak in comparison to the taste.

A: Pours hazy amber with a rather large off-white compact head. Slow dissipation leaves, quite rich lacings.

S: Wow; Pineapple galore! Very obvious American hops; floral and bitter. Citric and piney. Besides the over-powering pineapple, there is also grapefruits and lemons, perhaps even some bitter orange sezt. Bready caramell malt tries to balance, but man the pine is dominant.

T: Is very true to the smell, but the strenght of everything is changed; the malt is stronger and the hops is more mellow; but still this is a very American beer.

M: Aftertaste is lovely bitter. The body is medium, while carbonation is mild.

O: It's strange; some nights I really like the rough American hops, some nights they are to much for me. Gladly this was a night when the rough hops made me happy (hoppy happy?!?!). This beer, however is a nice example of APA.
