Copenhagen 25/1 2025. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Green label in the Brewery's usual Old News brand design.
Comes gushing out of the bottle. Pours unclear, slightly dirty amber with a big white head. Stable. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty and a bit yeasty odor early hiding a boozy scent of alcohol Sourish grains chiming in. Sweet pale malts, musty cellar and bread. Metallic alcohol. Sharp paint thinner.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, a bit greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone, Finish is semi-dry and boozy.
A not very Hoppy Blonde.
