Aromatic, well-hopped and refreshing Christmas beer. Brewed with 8 different American hop varieties, which in combination give a pleasant aroma accompanied by a complex taste experience.
The beer is straw yellow in the glass with a solid off-white foam crown. In taste, you experience both sweetness from the caramel malt and a well-tuned bitterness from the hops.
Excellent beer for the Christmas table, especially with fatty dishes.
Merry Christmas from all of us at Randers Brewery.

Copenhagen 28/11 2020. 50 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus (formerly Gunnar Madsens Vinhandel). A sightly cross eyed Christmas Elf with a shitload presents in the background,
Pours murky orange with a big white head. Settles as thin and uneven but frothy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fruity odor mingling with citric notes. Slightly perfumed, sweet odor of pineapple and papaya. Caramel and hints of licorice. Citrus and lemon.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, smooth, soft yet lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste bitter sweet with the bitterness winning out in the end. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Not a very Christmas-like Christmas beer apart from the fact that the word Christmas is part of the name and they have thrown a Christmas Elf in for good measure. But certainly a decent Indian Pale Ale.
