Once upon a dark winter’s night, the idea of adding salted caramel to a Porter was born – a story that may one day be told around the Christmas fire.
Until then, we are happy to reveal that this Porter, made for the cold season, with its silky salted caramel flavour, is perfect for the most festive moments of the holiday season.

Copenhagen 14/11 2024. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. As Randers Bryghus Jule Porter. Generic drawing of a Christmas tree standing in a snowy landscape on the label.
Pours dark brown with red hue. Mid-sized off-white head. Settles as thin patch of foam floating about. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of caramel and candy with a whiff of sweets spice. Toffee and brown sugar. Cinnamon, ginger and chocolate.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong, rough bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a distinct sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
A candy-like sweetness meeting a rough bitterness.
