For hop-loving beer drinkers, Randers Bryghus' two brewmasters have created an APA with a twist. The beer is brewed according to a clear American model, but achieves an exciting edge as the brew is fermented on whiskey yeast propagated at Tullamore's own distillery in Ireland. The beer is very aromatically hoppy, which gives a fresh summery taste impression. The taste is finished with notes of oak and subtly warming alcohol that come from the barrel aging in used Tullamore whiskey barrels. Visually, the beer is beautifully golden with a creamy persistent foam that is achieved by adding oats at the end of the mash.

Copenhagen 1/4 2023. 33 cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web shop. Close up of a beer glass with foam and everything on the label.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - dark amber with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a malty sweet odor mingling with a fruity citric odor. Sweet, pale malts, bread and cardboard. Citrus and lemon.
Medium strong carbonation. Slihjtly thick, oily, lively and gently tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a a light sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for short while. A tad watery. Finish is semi-dry.
Thin and rather generic.
